I carry cherished childhood memories from the Kifisia Children’s Library—memories that introduced me at an early age to art, literature, history, and philosophy. Almost three decades later, after reconnecting with the Library, I can clearly see how those early stimuli evolved into lasting passions that helped shape the person I have become. I also recognize the depth and enrichment the Library continues to offer children who participate in its educational programs today.
I am both honored and excited to carry forward Annette Schlumberger’s—my ancestor’s —mandate. This responsibility means upholding her vision, creative intention, and critical-thinking-based approach to educating children into responsible, well-rounded individuals, by supporting and strengthening this remarkable institution. My goal is to ensure it remains accessible to new generations, just as I once had the opportunity to benefit from it myself.
Furthermore, the librarian, Katerina Frouzaki, together with my parents who founded the Library, has ensured that its educational approach remains enduring and deeply influential for every child who takes part in its vibrant programs. I can say this with confidence, as I am, in part, a product of this beautiful project—and I am committed to supporting its continued growth and future impact in the community, through persistent and active support for the rest of my life.
